Lamont R. Cole is a Special Deputy Grand Master for the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan. This appointment allows Cole to lend his professional expertise in non-profit, business and educational structures into actionable processes to advance Prince Hall Masonry in Michigan.
Brother Cole is a former Detroiter who loves working with the community, he worked as Senior Program Manager for the Freedom Institute’s staple program Freedom Weekend; where he managed 20 major events that took place in a time span of three days with a budget of $500,000.00. Cole has also served as Outreach Staff for the Detroit Branch of the NAACP; likewise, as the Interim Executive Director for the Grand Rapids Branch of the NAACP.
As a Senior Consultant to National Community Development Institute (Oakland, California), Lamont facilitated conversations that focused on bridging the educational divide with the Douglas & Maria DeVos Foundation. Lamont also serves as a guest lecturer at the University of Michigan’s School of Social Work and Davenport University’s School of Urban Education.
